June Evelyn Carlson, age 85 of Sauk Centre, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Mark Johnson will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call one-half hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
June Carlson was born on June 30, 1917 in Sauk Centre to William P. and Prudence (Gilbertson) Arndt. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Sauk Centre High School. She attended the University Of Minnesota School Of Business. June married Alvin M. Carlson on September 6, 1941 at the Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. They lived in Richfield, Minnesota where her husband was employed as a building contractor. They moved to California, upon Alvin's retirement, where they built a home in Santa Maria. She moved back to Sauk Centre in May of 2002. Her hobbies were music, collecting cook books and preparing fancy cookies for various holidays.
June is survived by her sisters and brother, Wanda Clough of St. Cloud, Prudence Johnson (Lyle) of Sauk Centre and Dr. Bill Arndt (Louise) of Sauk Centre and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alvin M. Carlson on August 15, 2001.Casket bearers will be Craig, Karl and Ben Johnson and Bob, Barry and Maxwell Clough.
