Julia Heisick

Julia C. "Judy" Heisick age 95, of Grey Eagle, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 14 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Bowlus.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home in Melrose.

Julia Heisick was born November 15, 1911 in Ottertail City, Minnesota to Simon and Nellie (Williams) Kimmes. She married Jerome J. Heisick on June 29, 1947 in Minneapolis. Julia owned and operated Narcita's Salon in Minneapolis for 45 years. She volunteered her hairdressing talent at nursing homes. After retirement the couple moved to Little Birch Lake in Grey Eagle. Julia enjoyed her grandchildren immensely as well as fishing, gardening, knitting, and reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice Marinelli and her husband, Vito of Richfield; special nephew, Robert Kerfeld and his wife, Ginny of Inver Grove Heights; grandchildren, Jeri Norman and her husband, Tom of Big Lake, Judy Loesch and her husband, Steve of Grey Eagle, James Vara and his wife, Beelian, and Vito John Marinelli of Las Vegas, NV; great grandchildren, Eric Spaeth and his wife, Nikki of Long Prairie, Krista Dillon and her husband, Joe of Zimmerman, Aaron Spaeth of Grey Eagle, Amanda Daniels of Blaine, Angie Daniels of Blaine, and Jared Spaeth of Grey Ealge; great great grandchildren, Madison Spaeth, Caleb Dillon, Kaylee Daniels, and Rylan Spaeth; nieces, Darlene Kneisl and her husband, Arnie, Delores Schwartz and her husband, Don, Marlene Wright and her husband, Odie, and Sharon Miller and her husband, Gene.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome Heisick on September 9, 1983; infant daughter, Mary; and sisters, Della Pihlaja, Ione Simmons, Ruth Kerfeld, and Adeline "Rose" Williams.

Serving as casket bearers will be Eric Spaeth, Aaron Spaeth, Jared Spaeth, Jim Vara, Steve Loesch, and Vito Marinelli.
