Juletta C. (Ostendorf) Piekarski died Tuesday, September 7, 2004, peacefully at her home near Grey Eagle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grey Eagle, with Rev. Arlie Sowada officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel.

Juletta Piekarski was born on Nov. 30, 1924 in New Munich, Minnesota to Gerhard and Philomina (Vornbrock) Poepping. She married Wilfred Ostendorf on June 26, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. They resided near Grey Eagle where they farmed in Grey Eagle Township, Todd County. Following Wilfred's death in 1964, she was employed by Larson Boat Company and Munsingwear in Little Falls. She married Harry Piekarski on April 15, 1977 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. They co-owned and operated the Hub Supper Club near Burtrum for 10 years. She retired in 1987. Juletta enjoyed spending time with her family, Harry's gardens, cooking and baking. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Piekarski of Grey Eagle; 6 children, David Ostendorf of St. Cloud, Ermina Blaeser (David) of Grey Eagle, Sharon Maciej of Champlin, Noreen Zollar (Bob) of Grey Eagle, Alice Weibye (Les) of Ham Lake, Debbie Vogel (Darrell) of Champlin; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tony Poepping (Rose) of New Munich and Melvin Poepping (Erma) of New Munich.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilfred Ostendorf on Aug. 29, 1964; 2 infant daughters; brothers and sister, Theodore and Sylvester Poepping and Alvina Mayers, and son-in-law, Clarence R. Maciej.
