Judith Timp

Judith H. "Judy" Timp, age 65 of Freeport, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 17 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Catholic Order of Foresters, Christian Mothers, and the Goldenaires Senior Citizens will pray at 4 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 5 p.m. Thursday evening at the church in Freeport.

Judith Helen Michael was born July 17, 1945 in Freeport, Minnesota to Henry and Clara (Middendorf) Michael. She was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Timp on February 1, 1964 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Judy was a lifelong resident of Freeport who spent her time taking care of her family at home.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport, Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Christian Mothers. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Timp of Freeport; children, Michael (Wanda) Timp of Freeport, and Joel Timp (fiancée, Marta Fernandez) of Melrose; four grandchildren, Christopher, Dylan, Stacy, and Stephanie Timp, all at home; mother, Clara Michael of Freeport; brothers, Jerry (Clara) Michael of St. Rosa, David (Cyrilla) Michael of Freeport, and John (Carol) Michael of St. Michael; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Henry Michael on November 18, 2001.

Serving as casket bearers will be Christopher Timp, Dylan Timp, Jeff Michael, Terry Michael, Jason Michael and Shane Goering. Cross bearer will be Jeri Johnson and scripture bearer will be Rachel Nilsson.
