Joyce R. Boeckermann, 62, of St. Rosa, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a sudden illness.
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, St. Rosa with Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
Joyce R. Boeckermann was born March 7, 1942 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Bernard and Rose (Beste) Renneker. She married Francis "Frank" A. Boeckermann on August 31, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. They farmed for 35 years in Grey Eagle Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. She was employed by Centra Care Homecare for the past 5 years. Joyce was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the St. Loretta's Mission Group. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.
Survivors include her children, Earl Boeckermann (Michelle) of Clovis, CA, Paul Boeckermann (Amy) of Sauk Rapids, Glen Boeckermann (Jannell) of Waite Park, Kim Boeckermann (fiancée, Dave Krippner) of Buffalo Lake, Joel "Bud" Boeckermann of St. Rosa; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bernice Fischbach (Celestine) of Belgrade, Juanita Schlangen (Daniel) of Paynesville, Marcella Wochnick of Waite Park, Alcuin Renneker (Loretta) of Melrose, and Kathy Herdering (Joe) of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Francis "Frank" A. Boeckermann on June 10, 2000.
Casket bearers were Karl Schlangen, Tim Gieske, Jeff Herdering, Mike Wiechmann, Steven Krippner, and Eric Boeckermann. Cross bearer was Rebecca Oswskey and scripture bearer was Jill Kurowski. Honorary bearers were Joyce's neighbors and Centra Care Homecare employees.
