Joshua J. "Josh" (Poegel) Mollner, age 19, of Long Prairie, passed away Friday, September 25, 2009 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Long Prairie following the lunch in Melrose.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Joshua James Mollner was born February 3, 1990 in Long Prairie to Brenda Mollner and Pat Poegel. He graduated from Swanville High School in 2008 and was recently accepted to Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria. Josh helped out on the family farm and worked at various places including Dan's Prize in Browerville. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Long Prairie. Josh enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, rifle hunting, four wheeling, horseback riding, drawing and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Brenda Seanger of Long Prairie and Pat Poegel of Swanville; sister, Sarah of Long Prairie; half sister, Brittany Poegel of Swanville; grandparents, Don and Audrey Mollner of Long Prairie, Kathy Poegel of Swanville, and Tom and Pat Seanger of Melrose; great-grandmothers, Lucille Bills and Gert Mollner both of Long Prairie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Josh was preceded in death by his step father, Jamie Seanger; grandfather, Marvin Poegel; and great-grandfathers, Herb Bills and Joseph Mollner.

Serving as casket bearers will be Kary Mollner, Joe Mollner, Donald Terwey, Eric Seanger, Jason Seanger, John Voit, Jeremy Olmscheid, and Jake Igo. Cross bearer will be Justin "Peanut" Pohlmann and scripture bearer will be Aaron Dombovy.
