Joseph E. Kramer, age 47, of Granada Hills, CA, formerly of Melrose died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at his home in California.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Friday, April 13 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home, Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Joseph Kramer was born May 4, 1959 in Melrose, MN to George and Loretta (Schneider) Kramer. He was raised in Melrose graduating from Melrose High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and was a former employee of Simplex Corp. He was currently self employed and has lived in California for the past 23 years. Joe enjoyed playing guitar, softball and restoring old cars.
Survivors include his father, George Kramer of Albany; sisters and brothers, Patricia (Timothy) Flanigan of New York Mills, Joan (Wayne) Stich of Albany, Mark Kramer of Anoka, Donna (David) Goebel of Freeport, Ruth Kramer of St. Cloud, Kathleen (John) Wirtz of Detroit Lakes, Robert (Edna) Kramer of Melrose, Daniel (Lesa) Kramer of Sartell; sister-in-law, Kathleen Kramer of Albany; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Kramer; and brother, William Kramer.
Casket bearers will be Chris and Derek Kramer, Todd Stich, Kurt Goebel, Michelle Beito, and Jill Samuelson. Cross bearer will be Carrie Eickhoff. Scripture bearer will be Robert Kramer.
