Jerome Fisher

Jerome F. "Jerry" Fisher, age 73 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014 surrounded by his family, at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 22 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Jeremy Theis officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Jerome Frank Fisher was born May 18, 1941 in Sherburn, Minnesota to Frank and Edna (Spangler) Fisher. He graduated from high school from Kimball, Minnesota. On February 16, 1963 he married Karen Cokely at St. Paul's Catholic Church. He worked as a common laborer at several places; the last being, Felling Trailers in Sauk Centre. Jerry enjoyed going to the races, fishing, deer hunting, camping, watching sports, and vacationing.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Fisher of Sauk Centre; children, Scott (Cathy Chaika) Fisher of St. Cloud, Nancy (Torey Carl) Swanson of Duluth, Lisa (Tom) Anderl of Chaska, and Todd Fisher of Sauk Centre; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Marion (Ben) Ertl of Litchfield; brother, Lawrence (Sabra) Fisher of Alabama; brother-in-law, Roman Walz of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Phyllis Walz.

Serving as casket bearers will be Scott Fisher, Todd Fisher, Terry Crider, Brandon Swanson, Kenneth Walz, and Vincent Ertl. Cross bearer will be Jessica Anderl and scripture bearer will be Amanda Anderl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the CentraCare Nursing Home Activities Department in Sauk Centre.
