Jerome J. "Romie" Boecker, age 60 of Grey Eagle, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Albany Area Hospital in Albany, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Arlie Sowada officiating. Internment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Chapel in Grey Eagle and Friday one hour prior to service. Christian Mothers will pray Thursday at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. at the church chapel.

Jerome "Romie" Boecker was born on August 24, 1945 to Lawrence and Valeria (Pohlmann) Boecker in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Bernadine (Kneisl) Boecker on October 30, 1971 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Wadena, Minnesota. Jerome enjoyed truck driving and worked for Wayne Transport in Sauk Centre. He loved hunting and fishing and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Boecker of Grey Eagle; children, Bonnie Boecker of Melrose, Sharon (Dave) Rohde of Grey Eagle, Katherine (Troy) Elliott of St. Joseph, and Jerome Boecker, Jr. of Grey Eagle; brothers and sisters, Caroline Erickson of Freeport, David (Ellen) Boecker of Freeport, Joe Boecker of Melrose, Rosie (Dave) Ehlert of Freeport, Virgil Boecker of Freeport, Gerald (Tweetie) Boecker of Melrose, Marilyn (Chuck) Burger of Albany, Joan (Ron) Beilke of Sauk Centre, Kenny Boecker of Melrose and Steve (Geri) Boecker of Melrose; and four grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Valeria (Pohlmann) Boecker; brother, Alvin Boecker; and grandson, Matthew Robideaux.

Casket bearers will be Jerome's brothers; David, Joe, Virgil, Gerald, Kenny and Steve Boecker. Samantha Robideaux will serve as cross bearer and scripture bearer will be Michelle Wolbeck.
