Jerilynn M. “Babe” Sweazey, age 55 of Bertha, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Deer Creek Community Center in Deer Creek, Minnesota.
Jerilynn Mary Feela was born March 29, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Jerome and Alvina (Karst) Feela. She graduated from Wadena Deer Creek High School and earned her nursing degree from Wadena Technical College. She was united in marriage to Everett Sweazey on May 1, 1999 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Jeri loved working at the Bloomington Richfield Early Childhood Development center as a site leader. She also worked as a Medi-Van driver and as a hospice nurse in Wadena.
Jeri enjoyed camping and RVing throughout northern Minnesota and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially playing with and spoiling her 18 grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Sweazey of Bertha; mother, Alvina Feela; children, Wanda Sweazey, Darren Sweazey, Terry Sweazey, Joey Sweazey, Mindy (Adam) Boelter, Anthony (Lindsey) Toenyan, and Tanya (Alex) Juergensen; 18 grandchildren; brothers, Doug, Rick, Mark, and Butch Feela; and sisters, Dawn Spartz, Cindy Feela, and Jeanine Kirkof.
Jeri was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Feela; and sister, Mary Feela.
