Jeremiah D. "Jeremy" Brickweg, age 24 of Melrose died Sunday, May 8, 2005 unexpectedly at his home in New Munich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vincent Lieser officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Jeremy Brickweg was born January 4, 1981 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Daniel and Kimberly (Spaeth) Brickweg. Jeremy enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, snowmobiling and jet skiing. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.
Survivors include his parents, Dan and Kim Brickweg of Melrose; sister, Jessica Brickweg and her special friend, John Morales of St. Cloud; grandparents, Paul and Nettie Spaeth of Melrose; aunts and uncles, Dave Brickweg and his wife, Rosie, Jack Brickweg, Mike Brickweg and his wife, Sue, Carole Euerle and her husband, Merlyn, Rick Spaeth and his wife, Cathy and Sara Olmscheid and her husband, John; and many cousins.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Adeline Brickweg.
Serving as casket bearers will be Shawn Brickweg, Marty Brang, Peter Brang, Shane Uphus, Jon Schaefer and Jason Burg. Serving as cross bearer will be Luke Olmscheid and scripture bearer will be Sam Olmscheid.
