Jeralene Joyce Ensley was born July 30, 1935 in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Hazel Luell (Smith) and Vernon Lee Ensley, Sr. Jeri grew up in Emmetsburg and graduated from high school in 1952. After graduation, she moved out to California. She moved back to Minnesota, married her husband of 33 years, Larry Sorenson and raised their family of six on the shores of Long Lake-Higgins just outside of Sauk Centre. Larry preceded Jeri in death in 1995. She then met Bill Pallow and from a friendship that grew, they were united in marriage February 21, 1998. Together, they made their home at Bill's home on Brick Yard Road.

Throughout her life, Jeri worked at several factories including Fingerhut, Animal Fair, Stearns County, and HEI where she did professional seamstress work, soldering and she could sew anything. In her retirement, she used her talents for making beautiful quilts. From her childhood on, she had a passion for horses and shared that joy with her daughters and her grandchildren. Jeri also loved dogs - especially boxers and raised several litters of puppies. Other hobbies included fishing, flower gardening, traveling, and playing Bingo. Jeri was so creative and would have Bill make birdhouses and seasonal decorations. Once Bill had finished his part, Jeri would paint and finish the project, so it was ready to give to someone special. She painted rocks that everyone admired. Her quick wit and great sense of humor brought smiles to everyone.

Jeri was a member of Saint Alexius Catholic Church in West Union.
