Jennifer Lynn Nelson, age 34 of St. Cloud, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Kevin Born will officiate.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre.
Jennifer Lynn Nelson was born May 11, 1972 in Austin, Minnesota to Harold and Barb (Preston) Nelson. She was a 1990 graduate of Sauk Centre High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota and a Masters degree in psychology from South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. Jenny was employed by a Women's and Children's Clinic in Lake Tahoe, California for three years and currently she was employed by Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. Jenny was a member of First Lutheran Church, Sauk Centre; Counselors, Coaches and Teachers Associations. She loved outdoor sports, especially fishing, skiing, and snow shoeing. She also enjoyed basketball, camping and canoeing.
She is survived by her parents, Harold and Barb Nelson of Sauk Centre; brother, Todd Nelson (Deanna) of Marina, California; sister, Michelle Nelson-Hall of New Ulm; grandmother, Doris Preston of Aberdeen, SD; and 6 nieces and nephews, Christian, Leah and Maris Hall, and Matthew, Alexander and Christopher Nelson.
Honorary bearers will be the Cathedral High School Staff.
Memorials are preferred.
