Jeannette "Dixie" Snyder, age 78 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 23 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with inurnment following at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Little Falls.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Dixie Snyder was born November 8, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Benjamin and Pearl (Heath) Mitchell. On February 14, 1947 she married Daniel Snyder in Minneapolis. After their marriage the couple resided in Minneapolis. They moved to Sauk Centre in 1991 and for the past 2 ½ years she had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home.
Survivors include five children, Brian (Joyce) Snyder of Sauk Centre, Dianna (Thomas) Charboneau of Brooklyn Center, Jeffrey (Tammy) Snyder of Sauk Centre, Steven (Anita) Snyder of Brooklyn Center and Janet "Sue" Snyder of Sauk Centre; seven grandchildren, Angel, Tommy, Tricia, Lisa, Isaac, Shantel and Lee; and seven great grandchildren, Jake, Michael, Tyler, Alyssa, Zoe, Zaren and Kendra; brothers and sisters, Raymond (Loretta) Mitchell of Brooklyn Park, Jack Mitchell of Mille Lacs, Douglas (Eleanor) Mitchell of Florida, Kenneth (Sue) Mitchell of Brooklyn Center, Trudy (Bob) Mitchell, Barbara (Les) Smith and Beverly (Doug) Roebenhorst, all of Anoka.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Daniel Snyder on May 22, 1997; brothers and sisters, Dick and Duane "Pete" Mitchell, Marlene Peterson and Joyce Presler.
