Jeanne Carnes, age 63 of Annandale, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Birchwood Hospice House in Hutchinson.

Funeral services in celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 24 at Annandale United Methodist Church in Annandale. Interment will follow in St. Mark's Cemetery, near Annandale.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the church in Annandale.

Jeanne was born August 7, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Harold and Janet (McAuley) Carnes. She graduated from Annandale High School in 1960 and was a former Miss Annandale. She attended St. Cloud State University, University of Minnesota and graduated from Abbott Hospital School of Radiology. She worked as an x-ray and ultrasound technologist at several hospitals. She was co-owner of Double J. Trucking.Jeanne was a past member of the Buffalo Jaycee Women and Key Woman in the Minnesota Women of Today. She volunteered for the Buffalo Days Royalty Committee for many years. Jeanne loved her family and friends, golf, music, traveling, and sunsets on the lake.

Jeanne is survived by long time companion, John H. Hill of Annandale; children, Mark (Judy) Dykhuizen of Buffalo, Steve (Brook) Dykhuizen of Maple Plain and Lynn (Eric) Ovaska of Los Alamos, New Mexico; grandson, Brandon Dykhuizen of Buffalo; granddaughters, Alison Dykhuizen of Buffalo, Madeline and Elise Jeanne Ovaska of Los Alamos, New Mexico; sister, Judith (John) Bahneman of Rapid City, South Dakota; also mom to, Pat Hill of Annandale and Lisa (Paul) Harer of New Richmond, Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Memorials are preferred to the ALS Assoc. of Minnesota, 333 N. Washington Ave., Suite 105, Minneapolis, MN 55401 or Birchwood Hospice Home, 710 Park Island Dr., Hutchinson, MN 55350.
