Janet Krebsbach

Janet C. "Jan" Krebsbach, age 59, of Slidell, LA, formerly of Greenwald, MN, died after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at her sister's home in Meire Grove, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 15 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Greenwald, MN with Rev. Tom Becker officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Sauk Centre, MN.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose, MN. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.

Janet Krebsbach was born December 9, 1948 in Melrose, MN to Edwin and Viola (Ehresmann) Van Beck. On August 23, 1969 she married Kenneth A. Krebsbach at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Greenwald, MN. The couple moved to Sauk Centre, MN where Janet began working at the Farmers Co-op Elevator. In 1977 they moved to Osakis, MN where they owned and operated Krebsbach Plumbing and Heating. In 1982 they moved to Marrero, LA where Janet worked at Dr. Fred Gruezke's dental office for five years. They moved to Shreveport, LA where she began her work in real estate. The last ten years they called Slidell, LA, home where she worked for ERA/Stirling Realtors in Mandeville, LA as an associate broker. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Slidell, LA.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth A. Krebsbach of Slidell, LA; children, Scott (Janna) Krebsbach of League City, TX, Nancy (Richard) Munguia of Katy, TX, Kristen (James) Davis of Slidell, LA, Craig (Colleen) Krebsbach of Fort Walton, FL, Todd Krebsbach of Haughton, LA and Kenneth D. Krebsbach of Slidell, LA; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ervin (Diane) Van Beck of Apple Valley, MN, Carol (Herb) Inderrieden of Melrose, MN, Dennis (Lois) Van Beck of Melrose, MN, Ann (David) Brang of Meire Grove, MN, Sandra (Mike) Warner of Sauk Centre, MN, Mark Van Beck of Old Jefferson, LA, Ruth (Ernest) Wiener of Richmond, MN, Paul (Judy) Van Beck of Melrose, MN and Albert Van Beck of Grand Marais, MN.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Viola Van Beck; son, John Krebsbach; sister, Kathy Van Beck in 1989; and infant sister in 1952.

Serving as casket bearers will be Steve Inderrieden, Peter Brang, Marty Brang, Chris Peterson, Donald Krebsbach and David Krebsbach. Serving as cross bearer will be Joyce Lines and scripture bearer will be Jaclynn Peterson. Honorary bearers will be Rose Ann Inderrieden, Carol Backes, Joann Zenzen, Corrine Lieser, Phyllis Messer, Betty Frieler, Barb Jennissen and Barb Schwieters.
