Janet DuBois

Janet L. DuBois, age 95 of Sauk Centre, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. James Clausen officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Janet Louise Steiner was born December 23, 1916 in Long Prairie, Minnesota to George and Maybelle (Kraemer) Steiner. The family moved to Sauk Centre in May of 1917 where Janet had resided ever since. Janet graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1934 and continued her education at the University of Minnesota graduating with an English major in 1938. She married Pat DuBois of Sauk Centre on December 29, 1938. She was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ and was a member of a bridge club that played together for 58 years. Janet was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, loved traveling and cheering on the Minnesota Twins.

Janet is survived by her husband Pat DuBois of Sauk Centre; daughter, Susan (Roger) Beuning of Sauk Centre and their children, Sarah (John Martin) Beuning of Springfield, Illinois, Eric Beuning of Sauk Centre, Scott (Lindsay) Beuning of Sauk Centre, and Steven Beuning of Edina; daughter, Barbara Carlson and her son, Tyler Carlson of Sauk Centre; great-granddaughters, Lila Martin and Hazel Beuning.

Janet was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael who was born March 31, 1954 and passed away on September 16, 1954; sister, Luella Shulze; and brother, Philip Steiner.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
