Jane R. Tschida, age 85 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:15 p.m. followed by the United Auxiliaries Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Jane Rose Rehkamp was born July 12, 1926 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Christ and Frances (Minette) Rehkamp. She was united in marriage to Harold J. Tschida on June 6, 1950 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Ward Springs. The couple made their home in Sauk Centre where Jane worked for the A&P Store, Gambles Store, Fleet Supply, Pamida, Bohlig Cleaners, and Sauk Centre Web Printing.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, and the Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 Auxiliary.

Jane is survived by her children, Rick (Rose) Tschida of Belgrade and Nancy (Wade) Pierce of Blanco, Texas; three grandchildren, Angie Tschida, Chris (Sara) Tschida, and Kimberly (Kinney) Rohmer; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Daniel, and Jared Tschida, Ayden and Emily Rohmer; and sister-in-law, LaVerne (Larry) Brilla of Mapelwood.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Tschida on March 13, 1996; grandson, Bruce Guthrie; parents, Christ and Frances Rehkamp; and sisters, Joan Didier and Deloris Brick.

Serving as casket bearers will be Ken Ritter, Ken Tschida, BJ Friedrichs, Fritz Didier, Jeff Tschida, and Punky Didier. Cross bearer will be Terry Friedrichs and scripture bearer Angie Tschida. Gift bearers will be Chris Tschida, Zachary Tschida, Kimberly Rohmer, and Ayden Rohmer. Lector will be Judy Radermacher. Eucharistic Minister will be Marie Booth. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Holy Family School in Sauk Centre.
