James T. "Jamie" Seanger, 28, of Long Prairie, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 of injuries resulting from an accident.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Melrose with Rev. mark Stang officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Long Prairie.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Jamie was born in Melrose on June 22, 1976, the middle of five children to Thomas L. and Patricia (Schulzetenberg) Seanger. He graduated from Melrose High School where he was voted captain of the Swim Team. He went on to graduate from St. Cloud Technical College with a degree in Construction Electricity and has worked in the family electrical business for the past twelve years serving as Project Superintendent and Vice President. He also owned and operated JJS Game Farm together with his family and friend, John Voit.
Jamie was united in marriage to Brenda Mollner in December, 1999 at St. Mary's Church in Long Prairie. The couple resided near Long Prairie with children Josh and Sarah. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Long Prairie, Todd County Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever and the National Rifle Association. He loved and was very active in family activities, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
Jamie will be remembered as a supportive, understanding and generous husband and father, who always had time for family and friends. He had a zest for life and a spark in his personality that he was able to relate to all he knew, and to share smiles and comfort. He will be forever remembered, and truly missed by all who knew and cared for him.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Brenda and children Josh and Sarah; parents, Thomas and Pat Seanger; brothers and sisters, Toni Seanger, Eric (Jennifer) Seanger, Jason (Elisha) Seanger, and Julie Seanger; grandmother, Janet Seanger; Goddaughters Britt Seanger and Heileigh Mollner; 2 nieces, 2 nephews and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Casket bearers will be John and Gary Voit, Jeremy Rausch, Eric Zirbes, Chad Stevens and Travis Herman. Honorary bearers will be Shawn Wunderlich, Kary, Kevin, and Joe Mollner, Kenny Bills, Jason Rausch, John Igo, and Kurt Bauer. Cross bearer will be Josh. Scripture bearer will be Jake Igo.
