James B. “Jim” Schrader, age 82 of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date in Bearhead Cemetery.
James Benjamin Schrader was born July 2, 1938 in Long Prairie, Minnesota to John and Mary (Cromwell) Schrader. He was united in marriage to Julia Nokes in August of 1967 at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Bertha. Jim worked as a meat cutter at sheep packing plant in Washington state and worked as a milkman truck driver in Long Prairie. He later worked at Landy Packing Meat Company in St. Cloud and at Fingerhut. Jim was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albany where he served as an usher and as a trustee. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding horses and driving a team of horses, going to rodeos, camping, and trail riding.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Julia Schrader of Albany; children, Lisa Schrader and Eric (Jennifer) Schrader; nine grandchildren; and brothers, LeRoy (Carol) Schrader and Frank (JoAnn) Schrader.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Schrader.
