Isabel M. Bogard, age 96 of Albany, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the CentraCare Nursing Home in Long Prairie, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 2 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albany with Rev. Bradley Pearson officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Farming Township.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday morning at the church in Albany.
Isabel Margaret Lemke was born January 27, 1917 in Farming Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Paul and Tillie (Scheid) Lemke. On November 23, 1940 she was united in marriage to Albert Bogard at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farming Township. Isabel was a homemaker who loved being at home to take care of her family. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albany. Isabel enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Jeanette "Jan" Grunert of St. Cloud, Dennis Bogard of Albany, Terry Bogard of Albany, Jay (Julie) Bogard of Albany, and Kim (Harvey) Bogard-Imdieke of Albany; grandchildren, Konnie Hill of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Pam Grunert of Bethesda, Maryland, April Bogard of St. Paul, Leah Kellen of Long Prairie, Jordan Bogard of Albany, and Gracie Bogard of Albany; great-grandchildren, Erik Hill of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Kristin Hill of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Kacie Hill of Los Angeles, California, and Brady Guttropf of Westminster, Colorado; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Alice Hamann of Cold Spring and Lorraine Sager of Cold Spring; and sisters-in-law, Helen Lemke of Sauk Rapids and Eleanor Lemke of Albany.
Isabel was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bogard on February 17, 1964; parents; brothers, Ervin Lemke and Norman Lemke; sister, Hazel Schulz; and son-in-law, Ron Grunert.
