Isaac M. Lieser, 2 year-old son of Josh and Linda Lieser of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz and Deacon Lawrence Kaas will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
Isaac Lieser was born June 22, 2005 in Melrose, Minnesota to Josh and Linda (Nathe) Lieser. On May 6, 2007 he was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma and he fought a courageous battle for the past nine months."He will forever be remembered as our loving, determined, perfect little boy. We love you, Isaac!"
Survivors include his parents, Josh and Linda Lieser of Sauk Centre; three brothers, Dominic, Jayden, and Keegan, all at home; grandparents, John and Marilyn Nathe of Sauk Centre, Kathy and Virgil Lahr of Paynesville, and Donnie Lieser of St. Martin; great-grandparents, James and Shirley Marthaler of Sauk Centre, Al and Margaret Borgerding of Freeport, Elvin "Smiley" and Elnora Lieser of St. Martin; great-great-grandfather, Ed Schaefer of St. Martin; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by aunt, Kimberly Lieser; uncle, Joseph Lieser; great uncle, Kenneth Nathe; and great-grandparents, Arnold and Agnes Nathe.
Serving as casket bearers will be Mike and Joe Nathe, Tim and Jerman Lieser, Tommy Rousslang, and Brian Scherping. Cross bearer will be Leah Novak and scripture bearer will be Kelly Nielsen. Honorary bearers will be Nancy McAllister, Julie Klasen, Dawn Niess, Cindy Sawtell, Angie Baker, Cari Thom, Dana Carney and Jane Egerdal.
