Herbert McGourty

Herbert H. McGourty "Mac", age 70 of Minneapolis, formerly Sauk Centre, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Woodlyn Heights Health Care Center in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota.

Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Inurnment will follow in Calvary cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Herbert Henry McGourty was born March 27, 1940 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Mello and Theresa McGourty. After graduating from high school, Mac worked as a drafter with Dayton Rogers.

Survivors include his daughter, Lynn McGourty, of Eagan; granddaughter, Kathleen McGourty; and sisters, Mary (Dick) Castleman of Spokane, Washington, Jan (Ron) Zaczkowski of Princeton, Patty (Norby) Moritz of Sauk Centre, and Carol (Jesse) Jackson, of Katy, Texas.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents.

Serving as urn bearer will be his granddaughter, Kathleen McGourty.
