Helen A. Rousslange, age 75 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, January 10, 2005 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 13 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. James Statz will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers will pray at 4:30 p.m. followed by United Auxiliaries at 7 p.m. and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Helen Rousslange was born October 28, 1929 in St. Rosa, Minnesota to Henry and Rose (Von Bockern) Spier. Her family moved to the Padua area when she was 14. On October 30, 1950 she married Lawrence Rousslange at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, where the couple made their home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Paul F. Donart VFW 2853 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 67 Auxiliary.Helen enjoyed playing bingo and card club.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Rousslange of Sauk Centre; four children, Linda (Don) Bromenshenkel, Duane (LuAnn) Rousslange, Keith Rousslange and Debra (John) Metcalf, all of Sauk Centre; nine grandchildren; sister and brothers, Bernie (Ed) Bodensteiner and Harvey (Sandy) Spier, all of Minneapolis, Al (Lorraine) Spier of Brainerd and Don (Lynn) Spier of Eveleth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brother, Rosie Schmidt, Anita Kliest and Ralph Spier.
Serving as casket bearers will be Josh, Eric and Andrew Rousslange, Tim, Brad and Bill Bromenshenkel. Cross bearer will be Kyle Metcalf and scripture bearers will be Emily Rousslange and Kayla Metcalf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
