Heidi B. Deters, age 32 of Becker, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at her home in Becker, Minnesota surrounded by her family after a 26 month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 9 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. Jeff Ethen officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Heidi Barbara Gregory was born July 3, 1978 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Allan and Suzanne (Lahr) Gregory. She grew up between Elrosa and Belgrade. She graduated from BBE High School in 1996. On September 22, 2001 she married Jamie Deters at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Heidi worked as the general manager at Culver's in Albertville and for the last eight years she and her family lived in Becker. Heidi loved being a mom, staying busy, enjoyed spending time with her family and being outdoors. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, rollerblading, and running. Heidi was known for many things, her sweet tooth and love of chewing gum but mostly for her smile, her sense of humor and her caring nature.
Heidi attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Becker.
Heidi is survived by her husband Jamie Deters of Becker; three children, Alison, Hailey, and Cody Deters all of Becker; parents, Allan (Lynette) Gregory of Sunburg and Suzanne (Bruce Caron) Gregory of Greenwald; brothers and sisters, Marty (Rochelle Frericks) Gregory of Willmar, Melissa (Dan) Schueler of Spicer, Luanne (Mike) Fedor of Big Lake, Sarah (Jamie) Ulferts of Barnesville, and Allan (Angela Jenc) Gregory of Greenwald; grandmother, Rita (Lyle) Gregory-Huseth; father and mother-in-law, Dennis and Carol Deters of Elrosa; sister-in-law, Stacey (Ken) Haider of St. Michael; brother-in-law Robbie (Julie) Deters of St. Joseph; many nieces and nephews.
Heidi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Urban Gregory and Alcuin and Viola Lahr; aunt, Carie Lahr; brother-in-law, Scott Deters; and the unborn babies that she never saw.
Serving as casket bearers will be Gary Lahr, Richie Lahr, Kyle Gregory, Scott Eibensteiner, Ron Dingmann, Jr., and Bruce Schulzetenberg. Cross bearer will be Skylar Fedor and scripture bearer will be Adam Schulzetenberg.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
