Harold G. Ebensteiner, age 73 of Sauk Centre, died on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre for Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery, Padua. Military honors will be provided by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:15 p.m. followed by United Veterans prayer service at 7 p.m. and Melrose Knights of Columbus at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
Harold Ebensteiner was born on March 7, 1931 in Stearns County, Minnesota to Jake and Elizabeth (Majerus) Ebensteiner. During the Korean Conflict he served in the U.S. Army. He farmed with his brother, Jerome, on the family farm, until Jerome's death in 1997. Since 1998 he had resided in Sauk Centre. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Melrose Knights of Columbus and was a life member of Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853.
He is survived by many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerome.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.
