Harold L. Bosshardt, age 98 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the VA Health Care System in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 23 at Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre with Rev. Lori Nielsen officiating. Military Honors will be by the Sauk Centre United Veteran Honor Guard.
Harold Lovern Bosshardt was born September 30, 1921 to Lovern and Lydia (Eigenbrodt) Bosshardt in Sauk Centre Township, Minnesota. He graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1938. Harold joined the US Navy in 1942 and returned back home to the family farm in 1946. He married Betty Butenhoff on August 26, 1951. Together they raised their children on the family farm. Harold farmed all of his life until he retired in 1988, but still lived on the farm the rest of his life.
Survivors include his children, Gary (Natalie) Bosshardt of Philadelphia, Tom Bosshardt of Sauk Centre, Patty (Harold) Klassen of Melrose, Jim (Maricel) Bosshardt of Washington, and Dale (Nancy) Bosshardt of Melrose; 12 grandchildren, Raymond, Vincent, Gabriella, Christine, Joseph, Michael, Jenna, Mikayla, Piper, Kylin, Brock, and Trisha; four great-grandchildren; and girlfriend of many years, Pricilla Lamby of Alexandria.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bosshardt; infant daughter, Judy Bosshardt; and sister, Emilie Gamradt.
