Harlan Harstad

Harlan E. Harstad, age 79, of Little Birch Lake, Grey Eagle, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Knoll Cemetery south of Talmoon, MN on Hwy 6.

Harlan was born August 23, 1925 in Nashwauk, MN to Edie and Mabel (Erickson) Harstad. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He went to school at Dunwoody Institute. Harlan was employed by Honeywell in Minneapolis retiring in 1984. He then moved to his lake home on Little Birch Lake. Harlan enjoyed traveling and hunting.

Survivors include his brothers and sister, Edson Harstad of Effie, Ardell Olson of St. Paul, and Charles Harstad (Virginia) of Big Fork.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
