Gloria Volk

Gloria J. Volk, age 67 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, January 30, 2012 at her home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Private family services will be held.

Gloria Jean Ludgate was born December 26, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Walter and Ruby (Sample) Ludgate. She graduated from Minneapolis North High School. She later moved to St. Peter, Minnesota where she raised her family. She lived throughout the St. Peter area but for the last twelve years she called Sauk Centre home. Gloria loved animals. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, especially the fresh vegetables that she grew.

Gloria is survived by her sons, Robert Peterson, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa, Scot Peterson of Le Sueur, and Douglas Peterson of St. Peter; grandson, Izaiah; her dog, Max; and all of her neighborhood friends and her friends at Casey's.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruby Ludgate and her dog, Tuffy.
