Glenn E. Hamilton, age 90 of Sauk Centre, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:15 p.m. followed by United Veterans prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Glenn Hamilton was born April 10, 1915 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Roy and Alice (Cumming) Hamilton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On September 19, 1950 he married Mary Beste at St. Alexius Catholic Church in West Union. The couple farmed in Lyman Prairie, near Sauk Centre before moving to Sauk Centre, where they raised six children. Glenn was employed by Unger Furniture and then at John's Place before buying the restaurant which he owned and operated until 1980. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853, where he served as commander in 1984-1985, and American Legion Post 67. Glenn was a long-time member of the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.

Survivors include six children, Richard (Beverly) Hamilton of Hancock, Kathy (Randy) Mauch of Mooreton, North Dakota, Ross (Diane) Hamilton of Janesville, Diane (Craig) Pausch of Hankinson, North Dakota, Jane (Matt) Korinek of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Dean (Tiffanny) Hamilton of Edgewood, Washington; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Clytia (Merle) Allshouse of Sun City, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Hamilton on October 31, 2004; brother and sisters, Laurel and Leta Hamilton and Jeanette Essler.

Serving as casket bearers will be Adam and Joe Mauch, Jacob and Joshua Nordick, Jeremy and John Hamilton. Cross bearer will be Dallas Hamilton and scripture bearer and lector will be Ben Mauch. Mass servers will be Chance Pausch and Andrew Mauch and gift bearers will be Charity, Brenda, Rebecca, Hannah and Abby Hamilton.
