Gladys F. Timmer, age 87, of Coon Rapids, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Benedictine Health Care Center in New Brighton.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church in Melrose.
Gladys Frances Timmer was born May 21, 1922 in Superior, WI to Frank and Lottie Mae (Craigan) Kervina. She married Clarence Timmer in 1942 in Superior, WI. The couple lived in Melrose, MN for a short time until moving to South Minneapolis in the 1950s where she was a long time resident. Gladys was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Coon Rapids and had attended St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose years ago.
Survivors include her children, Clarence Timmer of Spooner, WI, Linda (Kevin) Driscoll of St. Paul, Janice (Larry) Pomerleau of Walker, MN, Mike (Gina) Timmer of Grantsburg, WI, Mark (Julie) Timmer of Elk River, and Sharon Taylor-Maas of Stuart, FL; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and brother, Raymond (Gloria) Kervina of Bloomington.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Timmer in 1970; son, Clark Timmer; brothers and sisters, Frank, Ethel, Margie, Viola, and Robert.
Serving as urn bearer will be Katie Timmer.
