Gertrude Mary Schloegl was born July 27, 1924 in Bruno, Saskatchewan, Canada to William and Eleanora (Brumleve) Schloegl. She married Clarence Owens on April 12, 1943 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The marriage ended in divorce January 25, 1951. She married Lorne D. Craig on February 13, 1951 in Day County, South Dakota. That marriage ended in divorce, in Wisconsin, and he died April 15, 1980.

While in St. Cloud, she worked at Fingerhut as a bookkeeper. She and Lorne moved to Bayfield, Wisconsin in the 1970's and while there, she owned and operated an antiques store. In 1974 they moved to Medford, Wisconsin where she did bookkeeping for Black River Industries and Medford Creamery.

When her father immigrated back to the United States in 1925, he did not include the children in the citizenship application, which always was a concern to her. She was extremely proud of her daughter who facilitated the paperwork for getting her a U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.

Trudy and her nephew traveled together from Georgia, where her brother lived, up the east coast of the U.S. and from Nova Scotia, Canada, west to Victoria Island, British Columbia, and the northern states of the United States over the years.

She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, and the Medford Senior Center.

Trudy is survived by her daughter, Judith (Michael Weeks) Perry-Weeks of Memphis, Tennessee and her children Jennifer and Anthony; son, Clarence Craig of San Diego, California and his children, Celeste, Brian, and Tracy.
