Gary Felling

Gary D. Felling, age 60 of Elrosa, died on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Rev. LeRoy Scheierl will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.

Gary Felling was born on September 21, 1942 in Belgrade, Minnesota to Joseph and Veronica (Laubach) Felling. He grew up on the Felling farm 2 ó miles south of Elrosa and resided there all of his life. He married Betty Jane Bieringer on December 30, 1961 at St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa and a former member of the Greenwald Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jane Felling of Elrosa; sons, Bruce (Kelly) Felling of Elrosa, Bryan (Susan) Felling of St. Augusta, Mark (Jodie) Felling of Avon, Gary Lee (Sandy) Felling of Elrosa; daughter, Melissa (Kelly) Leen of Avon; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Cyril Felling of Sauk Centre, Bernard (Gladys) Felling of Litchfield, Ernie (Olga) Felling of Cleveland, Ohio, Rudy (Sally) Felling of Waite Park; sisters, Madeline (Don) Roel of Waite Park, Delores (Howard) Handeland of Cottage Grove, Loverna Felling of Mission Viejo, Calif., Dorothy (Francis) Unger of Sauk Centre, Shirley (Dave) Goering of Crookston, Georgia (Jerry) Rooney of Belgrade.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilfred and Joseph, Jr.; and infant sister, Bertha.

Serving as casket bearers will be Brad Fischer, Lyle Johnson, Neal Zenzen, Warren Mitchell, Mike Rock, Tane Barclay, Joe and Wayne Heinze. Serving as cross bearer will be Veronica Felling and scripture bearer will be Jennifer Felling.
