Frank J. "Frankie" Eibensteiner, age 84 of Elrosa, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the CentraCare Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with Rev. Mark Stang officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in Elrosa. St. James Society of Catholic United Financial will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Frank Joseph Eibensteiner was born June 6, 1928 in Getty Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Henry and Amalia (Mareck) Eibensteiner. On October 9, 1963 he was united in marriage to Marcella Arceneau at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin. Frank was a meat cutter at the Greenwald Locker from 1958 through 1972. He began farming in 1965 and continued to work at the locker. Frank's son, David, took over the farm and Frank continued to help out. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa and the St. James Society of Catholic United Financial. Frank enjoyed selling Dairyland Seed, taking Sunday drives to look at crops and watching the Minnesota Twins.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Eibensteiner of Sauk Centre; children, Mary (Rob) Gruber of Sauk Centre, Theresa (Neal) Zenzen of Belgrade, Joan Eibensteiner of Sauk Centre, David Eibensteiner of Sauk Centre, and Judy Eibensteiner of Sauk Centre; eight grandchildren, Jill, Rachel, and Ashley Gruber, Virginia, Brock, Sydney, Elise, and Audrey Zenzen; and sister, Amalia "Molly" Boeckers of Sauk Centre.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son and daughter; brothers, Carl Eibensteiner, Edwin Eibensteiner, Ben Eibensteiner, and Henry Eibensteiner; infant brother, Frank Eibensteiner; and brother-in-law, Leander Boeckers.
Serving as casket bearers will be Mark Osendorf, Mike Osendorf, Ken Osendorf, Steve Osendorf, Bob Arceneau, and Ervin Hartung. Cross bearer will be Brock Zenzen and scripture bearer will be Audrey Zenzen. Pall bearers will be Jill Gruber and Virginia Zenzen. Gift bearers will be Ashley Gruber, Elise Zenzen and Rachel Gruber. Reader will be Sydney Zenzen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
