Frances C. Schneider, age 81, of Meire Grove, died peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2011 surrounded by her family at Fairway Pines in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Omar Guanchez officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. followed by St. Mary's Society at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.

Frances Catherine Wolbeck was born November 18, 1930 in Spring Hill Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Bernard and Mary (Hiltner) Wolbeck. On July 26, 1955 she married Joseph Schneider in Spring Hill, Minnesota. Frances was a homemaker all her life. She cleaned at the St. John's School in Meire Grove for many years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crocheting afghans, pillow cases, and doilies. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and babysat them often.

Frances was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove and the St. Mary's Society.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Schneider of Meire Grove; children, Don (Cindy) Schneider of Meire Grove, Diane Smith of Alexandria, and Deb Schneider of Meire Grove; grandchildren, Kari (Jesse) Allhiser, Craig (Megan) Schneider, Cory Schneider, Ashley Smith, Leah Smith, and Cassy Smith; great-grandson, Laken Schneider; brothers, Martin (Irene) Wolbeck of Sartell and Alfred (Erma) Wolbeck of Richmond; and sister-in-law, Sandy Wolbeck of Sartell.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale Schneider; seven sisters; and five brothers.

Serving as casket bearers will be Craig Schneider, Cory Schneider, Jesse Allhiser, Ashley Smith, Leah Smith, and Cassidy Smith. Cross bearer will be Kari Allhiser and scripture bearer will be Diane Smith. Honorary bearers will be St. Mary's Society.
