Faye A. Nelson, age 72, of Sauk Centre died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.
Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be 1 pm Saturday in Vesta Cemetery, Vesta, Minnesota.
Faye Nelson was born on March 8, 1932 in Tracy, Minnesota to Henry W. and Hazel (Fraser) Froelich. She was united in marriage to Tom R. Nelson on June 11, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Tracy, Minnesota. They purchased their first home in Minneota where they lived for 3 years. They moved to New Brighton for a number of years later moving to Lakeville where they resided for 23 years. Since 2000 they have lived in Sauk Cente, Minnesota. Faye was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Farmington, United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre and the Paul F. Donart VFW Auxiliary in Sauk Centre. She enjoyed cooking and baking pies, cakes, cookies and huge meals; playing cards, bird watching and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Nelson of Sauk Centre; son, Keith T. Nelson (Jamie) and grandson, Blake T. Nelson of Minneapolis; brother, Otto Froelich of Centuria, Wisconsin; and sister, Marilyn Danielowski (Robert) of Granite Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Paul, Archie, Edwin, Herbert, Robert Wesley, Ethel and John Allen Froelich.
