Evette Marie Nauvontay was born on March 21,1950 in Anoka, Minnesota to parents Allen & Marion Erickson.

She passed away in death suddenly at the Alexandria hospital on November 3, 2018 from heart failure. She was 68 years old.

During her young years, the family including, her sister, Sherri Banwart, and her brother, David Erickson, lived in Anoka, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Allen and Mary Erickson.

Survivors include: Sister, Sherri Banwart of Cambridge, Minnesota; Brother, David Erickson of Moose Lake, Minnesota; 5 sons: Jason Baker of Florence, Alabama, Justin Baker of Andover, Minnesota, Elliot & Haleigh Hill of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, Mathew & Lizeth Hill of Melrose, Minnesota, and Andrew & Maria Hill of Osakis, Minnesota; 1 daughter: Brianna Hill of Osakis, Minnesota; 12 Grandchildren: Shea Hill, Natalie Hill, Hayden Hill, Jack Baker, Olive Baker, Ellamae Hill, Bentley Hill, Annabelle Baker, Aaliyah Hill, Luke Hill, Madison Hill, Vienna Hill, and a new baby on the way; and many friends and family who will miss her.

Evette's faith & her family were the most important things in her life. Her deep love for Jehovah, her children, and grandchildren were evident in her words and self-sacrificing actions. Evette loved the Bible and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses in the Sauk Centre congregation.

Evette married at 19. She lived in Anoka and Moose Lake, Minnesota, moved to Oregon, and then moved back to Anoka. In 1986 the family moved to Osakis, Minnesota. By this time Evette had six children. She divorced and spent much of her adult life as a single parent. Her early years as a single parent were difficult, and she worked very hard to provide for the herself and the children. She cleaned homes and windows, mowed lawns, shoveled snow, and eventually started a number of businesses, including Mobile-Gold which has been a very successful family business. Evette was an excellent example and role model for single parents as an entrepreneur, mother, grandmother, and kindly person.
Evette recently moved to Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

On October 29,1966, at age 16, Evette was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Evette was know as a zealous, effective, passionate, and courageous volunteer minister. She served as a regular pioneer, a full time volunteer minister, for the past 11 years. She had strong faith that Jehovah's Kingdom government will the earth to a Garden of Eden paradise. She loved people and shared the Bible's comforting promise of a future resurrection from death to paradise earth. She shared her hope with anyone who would listen.
She loved plants, animals, music, travel, and strangers.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation: Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 1:00 to 2:30pm at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose

Private ceremony & interment: Wednesday, November 7th at 2:30 pm at Gordon Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Osakis, Minnesota

Funeral Service: Saturday, November 10, 2018 3:00 pm at the Sauk Centre Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses
