Eunice A. Mayer, age 76 of Sauk Centre died from complications due to a radiation ulcer on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 16 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in MELROSE. Parish prayers will be at 5:15 p.m. followed by Christian Mothers at 6 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home in MELROSE.
Eunice Mayer was born October 18, 1929 in Lake Henry Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Edmund and Sylvia (Weimerskirch) Schramel. She was united in marriage to Francis Mayer on November 9, 1948 in Padua. The couple farmed near Padua from 1948 to 1979 and then moved to Sauk Centre. Eunice was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre and St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Padua. She was a member of the Christian Mothers and belonged to the prayer chain and St. Faustina Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Eunice was a wonderful support to her husband and family. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering hand towels and pillow cases and baking rolls and bread. Eunice will be remembered by her family as a prayer warrior.
