Eugene H. "Gene/Hank" Heideman age 83, of Sauk Centre, passed away due to multiple health complications on November 18, 2011 at the St. Cloud Hospital with his family by his side.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 22 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with the Rev. Rebecca Thomas and the Rev. Johan Hinderlie co-officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-8p.m. on Monday, November 21 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Eugene H. Heideman was born on May 6, 1928 in Symco, Wisconsin to Henry R. and Elizabeth (Weingarten) Heideman. Gene graduated from Waupaca High School in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He married Beverly Yager on October 10, 1964 at United Church of Christ in Sauk Centre. He was a quality control inspector for Eaton Corporation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 39 years. He retired in 1992 when he and Bev relocated to Sauk Centre. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, walking his dog Jewel around Fairy Lake, bird watching, feeding the fish and squirrels and volunteering for the Boy Scouts as the boys were growing up. Gene was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan and enjoyed watching The World Series. He also enjoyed the Sauk Centre Senior Citizens Group and the Milwaukee Poker Club in which he was a member for 40 years.
Gene was a member of First Lutheran Church, the First Lutheran Retirees and the Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club.
Survivors include; his wife Beverly Heideman of Sauk Centre; sons, George Heideman of Buffalo, Kurt (Rhonda) Heideman of Rogers; granddaughters, Emily, Haley and Grace and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Heideman; daughter-in-law, Christine Heideman.
Urn bearers will be his granddaughters Haley and Grace.
