Ervin Zellmann

Ervin O. Zellmann, age 83, of Clarissa, formerly of Grey Eagle, died peacefully Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ron Tibbetts officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Grey Eagle.

Friends may call Saturday at the church in Grey Eagle one hour prior to the service.

Ervin Zellmann was born January 15, 1924 in Blakely, Minnesota to John and Amanda (Farber) Zellmann. His family moved to Round Prairie Township, Todd County in 1925. In 1929 they moved to what became the family farm in Burnhamville Township, Todd County where he farmed near Grey Eagle until his retirement. Ervin has resided at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa, Minnesota for the past 3 years. Ervin was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. He enjoyed fishing and trapping.

Survivors include his sisters, Marlene Birkholz (Leonard) of Blaine, MN and Janet Sufka (Raymond) of Grey Eagle; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Amanda Zellmann; brothers & sisters, Eugene Zellmann, Alvera Schandel, John Zellmann, Jr., Lois Weir, and June Decker.

Casket bearers will be Bill Schwanke, Rick Weir, Charles Birkholz, Kyle Birkholz, Kevin Bitz, and Clarence Decker.
