Eric L. "Jobby" Job, age 21 of Freeport died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at his home in Freeport.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church.
Eric Job was born on February 4, 1983 in Albany, Minnesota to Elmer Job and Lucy Goebel. He graduated from Melrose High School in June of 2001. He lived on the home dairy farm on which he helped his dad farm in Freeport. Eric loved sports. The Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves were his favorite teams. He also loved and spent a lot of time with his friends and family. Eric was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport.
He is survived by his parents, Elmer Job (Kristal Miller) of Freeport and Lucy Goebel (Mike Cigelske) of Avon; brothers, Jesse Job (Julie Bertram) of St. Cloud, Ross and Alex Job of Avon; half-sister, Lynn Koester of St. Cloud; grandparents, Alcuin and Louise Goebel of Freeport and Edward and Agnes Job of Freeport; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Eric was preceded in death by his aunt, Cindy Schmidt and uncle, Harold Job.
Serving as casket bearers will be Ryan Sheets, Doug Imdieke, Josh Hartung, Adam Voit, Al Herdering, Mike Pitcher, Chris Horn, and John Hinnenkamp. Serving as cross bearer will be Brandon Kelly and scripture bearer will be Carol Boyer.
