Elsie C. Taylor, age 91 of Sartell, formerly of Cushing, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Country Manor in Sartell, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the service Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.

Elsie Cora Engle was born October 2, 1920 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to William and Elsie Mae (Foster) Engle. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1938 and moved to Minneapolis where she worked as a beautician. She later moved to Ohio where she worked for General Motors. There she met and married Vern Carlson who later passed away. While still in Ohio, she met and married her second husband, Earl Taylor. After Earl's death, she returned to Cushing, Minnesota in 2002, where she lived until moving to Country Manor in Sartell in September of 2008.

Elsie enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.

Survivors include her brothers and sister, Ted (Shirley) Engle of Everett, Washington, Harold Engle of Winsted, and Beulah (LeRoy) Zierden of Cushing; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Vern Carlson and Earl Taylor; parents, William and Elsie Mae Engle; brothers, Floyd, LeRoy, Clifford, Ervin, Lester, Kenneth, Julian, and Louis; and sisters, Vera Kranz and Margaret Braaten.

Serving as casket bearers will be Rick and Karen Johnson, Gary and Pat Reberg, Tim Zierden, and Dale Braaten.The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Country Manor for the care they had given to "Sassy Elsie".
