Elizabeth Fletcher

Elizabeth Jean Fletcher "Jean" died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota after a long illness.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 12 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider and Deacon Tom McFadden will concelebrate. Inurnment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Jean was born in Chicago, Illinois, May 10, 1943 to Robert and Betty (Kent) Fletcher. She lived briefly in Hatboro, Pennsylvania; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and St. Paul, Minnesota, before her family settled in Morningside in 1954. She was a graduate of Edina-Morningside High School in 1962 and from Minneapolis Business School in 1965.Jean loved children and was a great babysitter and was proud of her accomplishments as an office employee. Her family is indebted to her for insisting pictures be taken on many occasions. This year she celebrated her 65th birthday with loyal friends.

Jean is survived by her father, Robert G. "Bud" Fletcher and sister, Linda Simpkins (Dave), both of Sauk Centre; and brother, Kent Fletcher of Lafayette, Indiana. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Fletcher.
