Elizabeth K. "Betty" Doege, age 84 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Pengilly, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 20 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kyle Robert Peterson officiating. Interment will follow Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Kathleen Moore was born January 15, 1927 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Herbert and Katherine (Rosenthal) Moore. Betty grew up in an orphanage in Owatonna, Minnesota. She went on to start a family and work various jobs. Later in life, Betty was introduced to Louis Doege. The couple married on July 17, 1971 in South Dakota and lived in the twin cities before moving back to Sauk Centre in the early 1990's.

Betty was a member of the American Legion Post 67 Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, reading, watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, going to the casino, and playing BINGO.

Betty is survived by her children, Daniel Bolz of Pengilly, Richard (Patsy) Carlson of Pengilly, Mary Foster of Minneapolis, Bryan (Cheryl) Doege of Isanti, Sandy (Jeff) Macziewski of Minneapolis, John Motzko of Ham Lake, and Brent (Traci) Doege of Cambridge; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Doege on December 12, 2010; parents; daughter, Sharon Carlson; and brother, Herbert Moore, Jr.

Serving as casket bearers will be Dan Bolz, Rick Carlson, Brent Doege, John Motzko, Bryan Doege, Tony Bolz, and Dan Bolz, Jr.

Memorials are preferred.
