Elizabeth Boecker was born July 20, 1922, in St. Martin Township, Stearns County, Minnesota, to Herman and Gertrude (Toenies) Pohlmann. Elizabeth married the love of her life, Norbert Boecker on June 24, 1941. They made their home southeast of Grey Eagle until 1954 when they moved and began farming southwest of Elrosa for 38 years before retiring to their home in Elrosa in 1978. Elizabeth continued to work outside the home over the years at Rooney's Restaurant, the Junction Restaurant in Belgrade, the Red Carpet, Harry's Bar preparing delicious home cooked meals for many Stearns County celebrations and Harry's Frozen Foods. But best of all, Liz devoted more time caring for her family. Mom, grandma, loved her children dearly and tried to be present at all of their functions. Elizabeth believed strongly in the power of prayer, the importance of family and dear friends. Daily prayer was a huge part of her everyday life. Elizabeth was a member of Sts.
