ElDoris A. Roquette, age 83 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Community Memorial Home in Osakis, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 27 at the United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Lynda Ellis will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
ElDoris Roquette was born January 24, 1924 in Raymond Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Elmer and Ada (Whitney) Smith. On October 23, 1944 she married Donald Roquette at the Methodist Church in Grove Lake, Minnesota. The couple farmed near Westport. In 1952 they began farming in Lyman Prairie, near Padua, until retiring in 1991. For the past 14 years they had resided in Sauk Centre.ElDoris was a member of the United Methodist Church, Ladies Aid, and the Lyman Prairie Birthday Club. She enjoyed flower gardening, making crafts and crocheting, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Roquette of Sauk Centre; son, Gary (Jan) Roquette of St. Joseph; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, ElDonna Krick in 1993; granddaughter, Tonya Krick; sisters, Illa Morris and LoLeta Roquette; brother, Carl Smith.
Serving as casket bearers will be Greg Heinen, Adam Wiener, Bret Anderson, Dennis Krick, Shawn Fletcher, and Thomas Hanson.
