Edward Jenc

Edward L. "Ed" Jenc, age 82 of Sauk Centre, died Monday, January 25, 2010 at Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa, Arizona.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. James Statz officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be held at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Edward Louis Jenc was born January 10, 1928 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Frank and Clara (Weiner) Jenc. On September 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Helen Rose Wessel at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple farmed near Padua and since 1980 had resided in Sauk Centre. Ed was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre and Bishop Busch Council #4863, Knights of Columbus. Ed enjoyed gardening and loved going on his Canadian fishing trips.

Survivors include his two sons, Lowell (Joan) Jenc of Alexandria and Glen (Jane) Jenc of Sauk Centre; five grandsons, Jeremiah, Jake, Joe, Ben and Andy Jenc; and sisters, Dorothy Bieringer of Sauk Centre and Jeannette Bruder of Browerville.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jenc on May 15, 2000; parents, Frank and Clara Jenc; and brothers, Henry and Ray Jenc.
