Edward Dulas

Edward A. "Ed" Dulas, age 62 of Madison, South Dakota, formerly of Sauk Centre, died suddenly Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 12 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery in Sauk Centre with military honors provided by the Sauk Centre United Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.

Ed was born August 19, 1949 in Mankato, Minnesota to Adrian and Evelyn (Danks) Dulas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 until his retirement in 1989. Ed then attended Alexandria Technical College for small engine repair. He worked at Avon Marine and then John Wiese Ford for 10 years until his retirement in 2002. He married Jeanette Hellermann on December 8, 2001 in St. Cloud.

Ed loved fishing, bicycling, riding his motorcycle, walking and new adventures while camping and traveling across the United States.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Dulas of Madison, South Dakota; one step-daughter, Kelly (Michael) Koroll of St. Cloud; two step-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Sharon (Sherman) Fields of Colorado Springs, Colorado, David (Roxanne) Dulas of Portland, Oregon, Paul (Barbara) Dulas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Janice Quistorff of Sauk Centre, Mike Dulas of Florence, Colorado, and Lisa Dulas of Sauk Centre.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Edeltraud Dulas; son, Edward Dulas, Jr.; and brother, Joseph Dulas.Casket bearers will be Michael Koroll, Brandon Koroll, Brian Dueker, Jonathan Dulas, Jessie Sauer and Mary Mathewes.
