Earl Pauly

Earl J. Pauly, age 83, of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 surrounded by his family at the CentraCare Health Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 2 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Greg Paffel officiating. Inurnment will take place in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in Sauk Centre. A decade of the rosary by the Knights of Columbus will be at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Earl Jerome Pauly was born October 30, 1929 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Carl and Rose (Sundermann) Pauly. He married Verena Wiener on December 29, 1951 at the St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Earl served in the United States Navy with the Seabees. He was also a third generation self-employed carpenter. Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and playing cards. Faith and family was what he appreciated most in life.

He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, American Legion Post 67, Bishop Busch Council Knights of Columbus for over 50 years, past president of Conservation Club, and a founding member of Jaycees.

Survivors include his wife, Verena Pauly of Sauk Centre; children, David (Lorraine) Pauly of Hinckley, Ken (Barb) Pauly of Willmar, Linda Homan of Bismarck, ND, Steve (Jan) Pauly of Glenwood, Tom (Renae) Pauly of Princeton, and Bonnie (Dave) Klein of Shakopee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert "Bob" Pauly of Albany; and sister, Jean Warzecha of Seattle, WA.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Quentin Pauly; brothers, Carl, Gordon and James Pauly; and sisters, Rosa Stouffer and Rita Pauly.

Serving as urn bearer will be Robert "Bob" Pauly. Gift bearers will be Ben Pauly and Austin Pauly. Readers will be Brian Pauly, Katie Pauly, and Gretchen Lindblad.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
