Earl Friedrichs

Earl L. Friedrichs, age 61 of Sauk Centre, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with parish prayers at 5:15 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Earl Friedrichs was born on February 7, 1947 to Gerard "Bud" and Violet (Wallin) Friedrichs in Melrose, Minnesota. On January 24, 1970 he married Nancy Browen at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Earl spent his life farming and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed socializing with friends and attending country music festivals. He attended WE Fest every year since it's beginning in 1983. He also enjoyed watching Westerns, CNN and collecting free junk.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nancy; sons, Jeff Friedrichs and Don Friedrichs both of Sauk Centre; grandchildren, Jenna and Tyler Friedrichs and Kaylee Friedrichs all of Sauk Centre; parents Bud and Violet Friedrichs of Sauk Centre; brother Jerry (Shirley) Friedrichs of Buffalo; many nieces and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by his son Danny on May 18, 1986 and his daughter Jennifer on October 7, 1991.

Serving as urn bearer will beTyler Friedrichs. Cross bearer will be Kaylee Friedrichs and scripture bearer will be Jenna Friedrichs.
